Angry Cherry Tattoo!

I got my first cover up tattoo. I had a small pink skull and crossbones behind my left ear. I had gotten it a while back with a friend/roommate. Sadly it was picked right off the wall. Cute, simple, and it matched with our shower curtain. Now times have changed and we have grown apart. I had originally just wanted it touched up, but Danny (one of my co-workers at Prix) suggested that I just cover it up. I had never even considered it. I took a little while to think it through and decided to get one of my paintings put there, “Cherry Madness”. 2 cherries, one on the left (cover up) and the other on the right (yet to be done).

Sorry…

I apologize for not posting anything new lately but I have been sick. I have this yucky cold that is still hanging around. I am hoping this week I will be feeling better so I can paint. I need to paint.

It’s a gummi tape candy bat.

They live in caves way up in the sky. 

Here’s a close up showing the sugar from the actual candy on the painting. I painted on some acrylic gel medium, then sprinkled the sugar on. Let it dry then went over everything with a glossy varnish. 

Paintings in progress, “Lemon head Bat” and “Cupcake Bat” wooden box

I am ending my late night having gotten a few things done. I worked on a new piece, “Lemon Head Bat”. I need to add the final details. “Droppin’ Sprinkles” is almost finished too. It’s a hand painted wooden box. It just needs to be varnished. “The Dragon” is almost finished as well. Small final details need to be added, then varnished.  It’s 4am… good night everyone.
